There are about 79 stitches covered in this syllabus. In the aari embroidery class we will teach how to make designs in the neck and sleeve portion. Before this end of the course you will make your own designs in bridal blouses and salwar kameez. We are also giving training by cot method.

Aari embroidery, originating from Gujarat, India, is a traditional craft known for its intricate and delicate thread work. The technique involves stretching fabric on a frame called a khaat and creating designs using a hooked needle, known as aari. Historically, it was popularized during the Mughal era and has since evolved, incorporating beads, sequins, and mirrors. The needle’s hook is used to create chain stitches, allowing for elaborate patterns and motifs, often inspired by nature. Aari work is particularly valued for its precision and ability to produce fine details. It’s extensively used in bridal and festive wear, adorning sarees, lehengas, and dupattas. This embroidery not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also reflects the cultural heritage and artisan skills passed down through generations.
